The creation of openness, permeability and a new sense of community are the driving principles of this master plan. The master plan creates an entirely new quarter in Erbil which both integrates into and connects to the surrounding neighborhoods.
The proposed Erbil City walk Master plan offers over 1.3 million m² of Built-up Area (BUA) and comprises of the following Sections:

Erbil City Walk site is on the west side of Erbil Center and is adjacent to Sami Abdul Rhaman Park, It is directly adjacent to north of Mousel St. primary road, and only 3km from Erbil Citadel (Qalaa). The site is within a 10 minute drive to Erbil international Airport and thereby offers excellent connections to the whole country. The site is very well connected within erbil City and would therefore support opportunities for a compact inner city live/work community.
The city centre location means that the site is well served by many of the public transport links within Erbil. The site benefits from good road connectivity. Located at the north-east intersection between Mosul street & Qazi Mohammad Street making the site a prime location to connect with the city center & provide easy access to Erbil international airport.
